Auction Experience

1988 Firebird, 244924

 

On fire is the right way to describe the bidding on Kathy F’s 1988 Pontiac Firebird.  Kathy was listening to Zack Spencer on CKNW 980, and made the decision to try the auction to sell her vehicle.  The Firebird was appraised by one of our sales team members and Kathy then set a reserve.  The bidding on the Firebird flew by the reserve by $500 and Kathy was ecstatic with her experience at the auction.

1998 Dodge Gr.Caravan, 512523

 

While talking to her friend about selling her 1998 Dodge Gr.Caravan, Nancy D was referred to the auction.  She didn’t know anything about the auction, but trusted her friend and brought her van down.  The auction’s competitive bidding atmosphere was the perfect place for the van.  Within a week Nancy’s van had sold, and it sold for $50 more than the appraised value.

2002 Impala, 233843

 

After listening to driving with Zack Spencer on CKNW 980, Elaine M knew where she was going to go to sell her 2002 Chevrolet Impala. It turned out to be quick and easy just like Zack had mentioned.  Elaine came in, had an appraisal done, and set a reserve. Her Impala sold in the first auction it was offered at, and sold for with in $150 of her reserve price.

2003 Chevrolet Corvette,

 

When Sally R made the decision to move out of the country, she needed to liquidate a few assets, one being her 2003 Corvette. She tried to sell it privately, but had a bad experience. Sally decided to take the advice of Zack Spencer and try to sell her vehicle through the auction. The experience Sally had at the auction could not have gone better. After contacting the auction, she brought it down, had an appraisal done, and left it with our team to sell.  When we called to inform her that her vehicle sold for $250 over the asking price, she could not have been happier.

1996 GMC Vandura 3500, 503272

 

School Bus, yes that’s right, we sold an old school bus. Abdul A had no use for this 1996 GMC Vandura, and having sold a vehicle at the auction in the past, knew how easy it would be. The Certification had lapsed, but that was a non-issue for our vast crowd of buyers. The bus sold and Abdul once again was very pleased with the outcome at the auction.

2002 Honda CR-V, 803742

 

A drive by sighting on Westminster Hwy, was how Barbra B learned of the public auction. She needed to sell her 2002 Honda CR-V after buying a new car.  The vehicle was a little dirty, and we know that clean cars sell better than dirty ones and suggested that a detail be done, Barbra agreed.  The CR-V sold in the first auction it ran in, and sold for within a $100 of Barbra’s reserve price!

2001 Montana, 224696

 

After searching the internet for different ways to sell a used car, Patricia Z came across our website adesarichmond.ca.  She came in with her 2001 Pontiac Montana and had an appraisal (#1) done by one of our sales team.  It was suggested that the Montana have a detail done, as clean cars sell better than dirty ones and Patricia agreed. We ran it at auction and the Montana sold for exactly the appraised value!

1986 Camaro, 173865

 

We sell all years, makes and models of vehicles at the auction. Jules G came to the auction because he no longer drove his 1986 Chevrolet Camaro and wanted to sell it quickly.  The Camaro sold to an internet buyer in the interior of BC and it sold for with in $200 of the reserved price!

1994 Lexus, 031733

 

This 1994 Lexus Es300 had a few issues and Moti L wasn’t sure we could sell a vehicle that had a declaration of Not Actual Kilometers.  We convinced him to run it unreserved, because we were so confident we could sell it for top dollar.  Much to Moti’s surprise his car sold for within $100 of the appraised value and Moti could not be happier with the experience at the auction.

Having bought this 2001 Chevrolet G2500 at the auction and after using it for a while, Jas K wanted to turn his car in to cash.  He knew how easy the selling process was at the auction and brought it back to sell.  It took just one auction to sell and Jas was issued guaranteed funds 2 business days later.

Hoping for something a bit newer, Remy K decided to re-sell his 2005 Ford Freestar at the auction. Using our 90 Day policy he brought his van back to the auction to sell. The vehicle sold quickly and Remy was able to buy that newer vehicle he so desired.

Surpreena S needed a new vehicle for her new family.  She tried selling her 2007 Honda Civic privately but she was unable to find a buyer.  So she came to the place that has the biggest buyer base in Western Canada.  Her car sold in the first auction it was offered at and sold for $900 over the appraised value.

1993 Dodge Gr.Caravan, 611123

 

While reading our advertisement in The Now Newspaper, Warwick F resolved to sell his vehicle at the auction. He no longer used it and wanted to try out the place with the largest buyer base in Western Canada.  In merely a week Warwick had sold his van and was happy with his experience at the auction.

Wilson Mah        02 Impreza, 833283

 

Wilson M had bought a new car and needed to sell his old car.  Once again he got the idea to sell at the auction from Zack Spencer’s show on CKNW 980. He brought his 2002 Subaru Impreza down to the auction and had a detail done. He then ran his vehicle and it sold for $150 over the appraised value.

Paul R  04 Range Rover, 167907

 

Paul R bought his 2004 Range Rover from the auction a while back, and needed to upgrade to a large truck.  When it came time to sell, he wanted to use the auction because he knew it would be a quick and easy process.  It was suggested that he have a detail done as clean cars sell better than those that are dirty.  He agreed and sure enough his Ranger Rover sold in the first auction in ran in!

Phillip M 86 Chrysler Fifth Ave, 555219

 

After listening to the Zack Spencer show on CKNW980, Philip knew where to take his 1986 Chrysler 5th Ave.  Philip was pleasantly surprised when his vehicle sold at the first auction it was offered in and was even more surprised when it sold for exactly the appraised value.  Philip was issued guaranteed funds two business days later.

Jim P was referred to the auction by a friend that runs a dealership.  He had two vehicles that he wanted to sell quickly.  After deciding to bring them to the auction, Jim had appraisals done by our Sales team, and then set reserves on both vehicles.  Jim was ecstatic when his vehicles sold for a combined $1900 over his asking price.  The auction is the only place you can get more than you ask for when selling a car!

Mithan G 02 Caravan, 659693

 

Having sold a vehicle at the auction in the past, Mithan knew how easy it would be to sell his 2002 Dodge Caravan.  It took one auction to sell Mithan’s vehicle, and it sold for within $50 of the appraised price. Mithan knows where to go to sell a vehicle quickly, ADESA Richmond Public Auction.

Keith P  01 Volvo, 601754

 

Keith P bought a new vehicle and did not trade in his 2001 Volvo.  Thus, he needed to sell his old car.  He came to the auction on Zack Spencer’s advice, and had an appraisal done.  He set his reserve and his vehicle sold in the first auction it ran in, and sold for within $200 of the asking price!

Linda B  03 Maxima, 404645

 

The auction wants everyone to leave with a great experience.  Linda B and her husband came to the auction looking to buy a car. There were two vehicles they were interested in.  When their second choice, a 2003 Nissan Maxima came through the auction first they ended up buying it.  Then they saw their first choice and wanted that vehicle more, so they bought that vehicle as well. Now they had two vehicles and only needed one! They decided to use our 90 Day policy to their advantage and re-sell the Maxima.  They re-ran their Maxima at the next auction and low and behold it sold it for more than the original purchase price.  Needless to say Linda and her husband had a great experience at the auction.

Don R no longer needed his 1997 Ford F150 and chose to take Zack Spencer’s advice and bring his car to the auction. He came in and had an appraisal done, we suggested that he have it detailed, and he agreed.  He then set a reserve and ran it at auction. The F150 sold in the first auction it ran in, and Don was very pleased with the outcome.

Joe P     95 Cavalier, 851837

 

Having to sell this 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier as part of an Estate sale, Joe P knew he would get top dollar for his vehicle if he came to the place with the largest buyer base in Western Canada.  Joe’s Cavalier sold, and he was issued guaranteed funds two business days later.

After buying a new car, Rose S was wondering what to do with her 2005 Pontiac Sunfire that she no longer needed. She heard Zack Spencer on CKNW 980 talking about the auction.  She decided to give it a shot at selling her vehicle.  Not surprisingly her vehicle sold in the very first auction it ran in and sold for within $200 of the appraised value.

After selling a few vehicles through the auction, Kirk S knew where to go to sell his vehicle.  He came to the auction and had an appraisal done, then set a reserve and ran it at auction. His vehicle sold in the first auction it ran in and Kirk was once more delighted with his experience at ADESA Richmond Public Auction.

 

Donate a Car 78 olds 98, 136091

 

Linda H wanted to donate her 1978 Oldsmobile 98 to the Palliative Care unit at the Vancouver General Hospital.  She didn’t know how to go about it, so she called the auction.  We consigned her vehicle and contacted VGH to let them know that we had a donated car for them.  Both Linda and VGH were overjoyed that the vehicle sold for $650 more than the appraised value.

 

Sarah Townley 03 Pathfinder, 812686

 

Having bought a new vehicle Sarah T was left with two vehicles and her new townhouse didn’t have enough parking.  She decided to sell her 2003 Nissan Pathfinder to make more room. Her vehicle sold in the very first auction it ran in and sold for with in $200 of her reserve!

Oluf F wanted to sell his van fast so he took Zack Spencer’s advice and brought his 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan to the auction. Oluf decided to sell it unreserved to the highest bidder.  He sold his van and was mailed guaranteed funds two business days later.

Needing to turn his extra car in to cash, Mike B took his friends advice and brought his 2001 Volkswagen Jetta to ADESA Richmond Public Auction.  It took only one auction for Mike’s Jetta to sell and better yet, sold for exactly his reserve price. Mike was thrilled with the outcome!

Margaret Newill, 98 Blazer, 229568

Margaret N hadn’t driven her 1998 Chevrolet Blazer in over three years and decided that it was time to sell this vehicle. She was listening to Zack Spencer’s show on CKNW 980 and took Zack’s advice about selling at ADESA Richmond Public Auction Turns out Zack had great advice - Margret sold her vehicle and had a great experience doing so.

After being referred to ADESA Richmond Public auction by a friend, Amandeep K brought his 1998 Lincoln Navigator to the auction to sell.  It took only one auction before it sold and Amandeep could not be happier with the outcome.

Richard heard Zack Spencer talking about ADESA Richmond Public Auction on 980 CKNW. He had two vehicles and wanted to sell one of them.  So he decided to try the auction to sell his 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix.  Sure enough Richard received an offer in the first auction it ran in and he sold for $50 more that the appraised value.

ADESA Richmond and BC Women’s Hospital Foundation Team up To Raise Funds through Vehicle Donations and Customer Referrals

Richmond, BC – September 4, 2013: ADESA Richmond Public Auction and the BC Women’s Hospital Foundation launched ADESA Richmond’s Working Wonders Charity Auctions and ADESA Richmond’s Referral Rewards today at a massive lunchtime barbeque attended by over two thousand hospital workers and administration at BC Women’s Hospital Oak Street campus in Vancouver. The two programs were created to assist select charities in their fund raising campaigns through unique vehicle donation and referral programs.

Having bought this 2000 Ford Taurus from the auction last year, Kamaljit knew exactly where the largest buyer market in western Canada was situated. A friend suggested that Rohit L bring his 1998 Ford Windstar to ADESA Richmond Public auction to try and sell his vehicle. Samuel bought this 2004 Nissan Quest at the auction for his business, and realized that it didn’t suit his needs.  He brought it back and utilized the 90 day policy. His vehicle re-sold for within $50 of the original sale price, and Samuel thanked us for the great service and experience.

Searching the internet is how Ahmad K found out about ADESA Richmond Public Auction.  He had three cars and had no more use for this 2002 Chrysler Intrepid.  Ahmad drove to the auction and consigned his vehicle, he then took advantage or our vehicle detail service to clean up his vehicle. Ahmad was very please when his intrepid sold for within $200 of the appraised price.

William was not longer able to drive, so he figured he would try to sell his car to the largest buyer base in Western Canada.  It was a quick and easy process, William brought his 2007 Ford Taurus to the auction and had it appraised.  He then set a reserve and his vehicle sold for $200 over his reserve price.

After not having success selling this 1995 Jaguar XJ last year at the auction, Douglas W decided to give the auction another shot at selling his vehicle.  What a great decision, his vehicle sold in the first auction it ran in!  Douglas was extremely pleased with how quickly his vehicle sold and how easy the process is to sell a car at the auction.

Wanting to buy a van was the reason Mohamed M wanted to sell his 2001 Honda Accord.  He had been to the auction many times, and knew how quick and easy it was to sell a car at the auction. Sure enough he brought the car to the auction and sold it the very same day for within $100 of the appraised value.

After buying his wife a brand new Dodge Ram 2500 and not being offered enough on his trade in. Selling a vehicle unreserved (no minimum price to sell) is the best way to guarantee your vehicle will sell at the auction. Wayne decided that unreserved was the way to go with his 1993 Dutchman Motor Home.  Wayne was extremely happy with his experience at the auction.  His motor home sold in the first auction it ran in and we issue guaranteed funds two business days later.

Robert L 1976 GMC P/U, 532165

It was suggested to Robert L to bring his vehicle to the auction to sell a couple of days prior the auction date. This way the auction has time to fully expose the vehicle to the largest buyer base in Western Canada.  Robert was very pleased with his experience as his 1976 GMC pickup sold and we issued guaranteed funds two business days later.

After buying a new car, but not trading in her 2002 Chrysler Neon, Roshima K had a vehicle she no longer needed. Bharbir S the seller of these vehicles has been to ADESA Richmond Public Auction on numerous occasions.  He knew how easy the selling process was, and sure enough both vehicles the 2000 Chevrolet Venture and the 1988 Merc-Benz 420 sold in the very first auction they ran in.

Helping a family member sell this 2007 Kia Rio5 is why Tim H came to ADESA Richmond Public Auction.  He heard our advertisement on Rock 101.1 a while back and decided that the auction would be a good idea.  A good idea it was, Tim sold the Kia Rio5 for $50 above the appraised value.

After having no success selling her 1992 Honda Prelude on craigslist, Lubna K decided to try and sell her vehicle at ADESA Richmond Public Auction.  She made a great decision.  Lubna’s Prelude sold for $500 over the appraised value.

After hearing Zack Spencer on CKNW 980, Ed and Elizabeth C made a great choice and brought their 00 Toyota Corolla to the auction to sell.  The vehicle sold in the very first auction it ran in and sold for $300 over the appraised value.

Fardin H needed money quickly, so he brought his 04 BMW to ADESA Richmond Public Auction to sell.  He had been here before and knew how easy the auction process is.  The vehicle sold within a week and he was very happy with the outcome.

Helping out a family member that was moving to Vancouver is the reason Tatiana P wanted to sell her Winnebago.  ADESA Richmond Public Auction was recommended to her by Dan’s Mechanical.  She brought the vehicle in and it sold after just one auction.

After finding ADESA Richmond Public Auction on the internet, Manjit S wanted to see if the auction could sell her 98 Infinity QX4 .  Indeed it was, the vehicle was consigned on a Friday and it sold the next day.  The best part was that is sold for exactly the reserve price, Manjit was ecstatic about the outcome.


James K, 1996 Chevrolet Lumina


No longer needing this vehicle James K decided to bring his 96 Chevrolet Lumina to the auction to sell.  It sold the very first time it ran through the auction and it sold for within $100 of the reserve price.


Stephanie P, 2004 Audi A4


Stephanie P was referred to ADESA Richmond Public Auction by a friend.  Not needing a second car, she decided to try and sell her 04 Audi A4 through the auction.  It took only one auction to sell, and the seller could not be happier with the outcome.


The consigner of this 95 Mercury Villager, had been to the auction many times.  So, when it came to selling his old vehicle he knew where to bring it.  He brought it in and ran it the next day without a reserved price.  It sold and we issued guaranteed funds two days later.


Selling large vehicles such as this GMC W4500 can occasionally take a while.  Not in this case.  The seller Googled auctions in Vancouver and found ADESA Richmond Public Auction.  He brought the vehicle to the auction on Friday and sold it on Saturday.  It really is that easy.


1996 Volkswagen Jetta (vw.ca)


Recommended by his cousin, the seller of this 96 Jetta decided it was a good idea to try and sell his vehicle at the auction. It took only 3 days to sell his vehicle and it sold within $150 over the appraised price.


We were very proud to be there with an ADESA Richmond Public Auctioneer, Marc Bergevin on September 13th, 2012 at the Redwoods Golf Course.  It was a fund raising auction that raised $59,000 to go toward the Langley Memorial Hospital "Maternity Expansion Campaign". 


The next one will be September 12, 2013 for the 17th year.  We look forward to supporting this next event.


2011 Ford Ranger


The seller of this vehicle heard about us on the Zack Spencer show on CKNW 980.  They brought their 2011 Ford Ranger to the auction on Thursday, replaced the windshield to add value and it sold on Saturday.  We issued guaranteed funds on Tuesday.


2002 Dakota


The seller of this unit heard about us on 99.3 The Fox.  They had no need for 3 vehicles and wanted to sell this extra vehicle. The vehicle sold and we issued guaranteed funds on Tuesday.  It is really that easy everything done in less than a week with no hassles.

We spent the week at the UBCM Conference and Trade Show at the Vancouver Convention Centre


Oktoberfest - 2011


Oktoberfest just might be one of our favorite annual celebrations around here.  We put on a Keg Bowling Competition, Staff Beer Drinking Competition, bring in a live Oompa band and give away as much beer and prizes as we can.

Mazda/Skyactive Ride & Drive - 2011


Our friends at Mazda unveiled their new Skyactive Technology in 2011 and stopped by for a few days to show them off to their local Mazda dealerships.  


Steveston Salmon Festival - 2011


John hanging out with a giant turkey at the 2011 Steveston Salmon Festival.

Classic Car Auction & Show 'N Shine - September 2010


We had so much fun during our first Classic Car Show and auction that we decided to do it again.


Vancouver Olympics 2010


Working directly with VANOC and GM we prepared over 5000 vehicles for the 2010 Winter Olympics.  including the one Wayne Gretzky road in during the Opening Ceremonies.  Once they were inspected, decaled and outfitted with accessories such as bed liners they were then used by the athletes and staff of the Olympics.


Monthly Government Auctions


Our monthly Government and Equipment auctions always draw a crowd.


Staff Hotdog Eating Contest


The bets were placed, the contestants were ready and the onlookers witnessed some interesting hotdog eating techniques. 


Classic Car Auction & Show 'N Shine - June 2010


Being car guys (and girls) we always wanted to put on our own classic car show.  Especially since a few of us have a gem or two tucked away in the garage.  Thanks to the Richmond Lions Club we did just that. 


M.A.D.D. Charity Auctions


We're avid supporter of M.A.D.D. (Mothers against Drunk Drivers) so we were very excited to have them join us to help raise awareness about drinking and driving.


Lansdowne Remote Auction - 2009


We teamed up with Lansdowne Centre in Richmond and put on an auction right in their parking lot. We had a ton of fun and made a lot of new friends in the process.
