How to Buy and Sell

Sellers

When registering a vehicle for auction at the ADESA Richmond Public Auction you will have two basic options. You may choose to run it with a "RESERVED PRICE" or "UNRESERVED". We offer FREE APPRAISALS which will help you determine which choice is best suited for you.

• Reserved Price
  

  When choosing this option you will be able to set your own price for the vehicle (recommended). This will give you full control of the final sale price with ability to negotiate offers made by potential buyers. This option involves an Entry Fee of $45 + GST.

• Unreserved
  

  With this option we will run the vehicle with no price which guarantees the sale of your vehicle to the highest bid on auction day. In choosing this option we will waive our Entry Fee.

A vehicle claims report and lien search at a cost of $25 will be completed by the auction and charged to the seller. If the vehicle being consigned is a Canadian or Foreign import an additional cost of $50 will be charged for a CarProof search.

Buyers

All buyers are required to pay a buyers fee, a documentation fee and applicable taxes on all purchases. A nonrefundable deposit of $400 must also be made on all purchases at point of sale. Payment for the deposit can be made in the form of Cash, Debit Card, Visa or Mastercard. The balance is due the next business day before 5:00pm. PLEASE NOTE we DO NOT accept any credit cards for final payment. Balance of payment is accepted in the form of Cash, Debit Card, Certified Cheque or Bank Draft. Payments must be made in full before the vehicle will be released.
